Continuing Education

Massachusetts requires continuing education classes every 2 year renewal cycle equal to 12 credits, in order to renew your real estate license. GrNBAR offers continuing education monthly, free to our members in good standing. We also welcome non member participation in continuing education for a fee of $275 for 6 classes or $60 per class.

There are 49 specific courses that are acceptable for continuing education. GrNBAR is a licensed real estate school and offers a variety of these courses throughout the year at our Member Service Center. These courses are taught by nationally known instructors and meet the very high standards set by NAR.

All classes are held at GrNBAR's Member Service Center. Please plan on arriving early. Any late-comers will have a 10 minute grace period. Sign-in sheets will be removed at that time.

All registrants must sign the sign-in sheet at the beginning of each class they are attending. If you fail to sign in, you will forfeit credit.

Certificates will be available at the end of each class. Please take only your certificate. Anyone leaving before the end of class will forfeit the credit.

Cancellation Policy

GrNBAR reserves the right to cancel a class if there are less than 10 people registered. All registrants will be notified within one week prior to the date of class.

Cancellation and rescheduling without penalty is allowed if notice is given at least 48 hours before the course you are registered for begins. Otherwise a $20 fee will apply to reschedule. No refunds will be given.

Professional Designation Classes

The GRI designation is a professional development training program for residential real estate professionals interested in increasing their knowledge and business skills in the fundamentals of real estate practice. It consists of six modules which comprise the 90 hour REALTOR® Institute program. The modules may be taken in any order, however, all six must be taken within a five year time frame. For more information on the program, go to MAR's website at www.marealtor.com.
